Datatable (head (iris), colnames = c ('A Better Name' = 'Sepal.Width')) datatable ( head (iris), colnames = c ( 'Another Better Name' = 2, 'Yet Another Name' = 4 )) When you display row names of the data, its column name will be a white space by default. I have encountered a strange bug that I believe originates with some kind of scoping issue between data.table and purrr. When I try to purrr::map a vector of paths of Rmd files to the rmarkdown::render function, the rendering fails. The default DataTables stylesheet has the following class names available to control the different styling features of a DataTable. These class names should be applied to the table element: Class name Description; display: Short-hand for the stripe, hover, row-border and order-column classes.
