Key Features

The Controller project up next is one that doesn’t render with OptiX in Blender 2.91 because of the missing bevel support, but it does render in the current 2.92 alpha. We’ll wait until final release before testing before / after, but for now, we can see the CUDA vs. OpenCL performance in 2.91. Sorry about the fan, this is a hot video.patreon and stuff www.cgmatter.comget the build https://blender.community/c. Blender 2.82: Cycles Denoising. Cycles now supports the AI-Accelerated Denoiser from OptiX. It is built into the Blender view layer system, supports multiple GPUs (the denoiser will use the selected OptiX devices also used for rendering) and can give realistic results with low numbers of samples at very high performance. Note that as of Blender 2.92, OptiX supports ambient occlusion and bevels, so the list of what the new API doesn’t support is becoming seriously thin. Let’s see how the Classroom project behaves: The Classroom project has historically scaled a little differently from the BMW one, and that tradition has been upheld with 2.92.

  • Programmable GPU-accelerated Ray-Tracing Pipeline
  • Single-ray shader programming model using C++
  • Optimized for current and future generations of NVIDIA GPU architectures
  • Transparently scales across multiple GPUs
  • Automatically combines GPU memory over NVLink for large scenes
  • AI Accelerated rendering using Tensor Cores
  • Ray Tracing acceleration using RT Cores
  • Free for Commercial-Use
  • ARM support

Optix blender
  • Added support for temporal denoising
  • Improved performance of the OptiX Curves primitive
  • The OptiX Demand Loading library is now fully asynchronous, with sparse texture tiles loaded in the background by multiple CPU threads while OptiX kernels execute on the GPU
