Installation with Homebrew Make sure to define the version you want: brew install python3 This comes with pip3, Python’s package installer/manager, which we want for Ansible, etc. Homebrew is the package management tool for the macOS. We can use Homebrew in order to install Python and pip. Pip is provided with the python package. We will use brew command with the install command like below.

Since pip3 install-user does not work correctly on some platforms, notably Ubuntu 16.04 and older, and the Homebrew version of Python, instead use this for a system wide installation: pip3 install ocrmypdf.
